Original creations to raise environmental awareness
In our marinas, every action counts when it comes to protecting our environment. 🌿 Through simple and creative initiatives, our teams also contribute to raising awareness of biodiversity and preserving our surroundings.
🐞 Ladybird houses to support biodiversity
During your next walk around the Moulin Blanc marina, you may notice small structures installed along the pathway.
These ladybird houses, made by Gaëtan using recycled materials, were created following research into these small insects and their role in our environment.
Installed along the promenade, they provide a suitable habitat for ladybirds while helping visitors discover and better understand the biodiversity around us.

♻️ A very different kind of hotel
At Moulin Blanc, another creation is also attracting attention: the waste hotel designed by Vincent.
No rooms or overnight stays here! Each “suite” represents a category of waste that can be found in our marinas: plastic, glass, metal, cardboard…
The aim? To illustrate in a fun and accessible way how long these different types of waste take to decompose in nature, and to remind us of the impact they can have on our environment.

🌊 Raising awareness in a different way
Through these two creations, our teams are putting their creativity at the service of environmental awareness.
Recycled materials, a few ideas and plenty of imagination can be transformed into educational tools that are accessible to everyone, while giving certain materials a new lease of life.
These initiatives show that protecting our environment also involves small actions, creativity and raising awareness in our everyday lives.
🌿 An initiative in line with our Ports Propres commitments
These actions contribute to the approach taken by the Marinas de Brest to protecting the environment and biodiversity.
