Depending on your needs, one of them will be best suited to your stay. We explain everything to help you make your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A stopover at Marina du Ch\u00e2teau<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/en\/marina-du-chateau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marina du Ch\u00e2teau<\/a> is the first marina that you can go to when arriving at Brest. You can also visit the botanical garden of Brest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Calling at Brest: procedure for entering the marina<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure that your arrival goes as smoothly as possible, here is the procedure to follow when you arrive near the marina you wish to call at:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Call by radio on channel 9<\/strong>: give the name of your boat, its dimensions and the duration of your stay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The marina teams will show you a suitable berth either in the annual contract pontoon, or on the visitor pontoon.<br>During the season, we do our best to meet you on the water and accompany you to your berth. However, if it is very busy, you may have to wait for a while, or you may be asked to go to your berth on your own.<br>Out of season, or outside harbour office opening hours, you can moor directly at the visitor pontoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Register with the harbour office<\/strong>: whether you have called at Brest before or are coming for the first time, you need to register with the harbour office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you have the boat's papers so that you can fill in your port of call form correctly.<br>It's also when you check in that you'll get the access codes for the pontoons and toilets, the wifi code, and all the information you need for your stay in Brest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Declare yourself at the customs office<\/strong>: if you are coming from outside the Schengen area, you must declare yourself at the customs office located 3 minutes' walk from the Marina du Ch\u00e2teau at 14 quai de la douane.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Special case: the quai du Commandant Malbert at the Marina du Ch\u00e2teau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"673\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Quai-Malbert-Brest-1200x673.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Quai-Malbert-Brest-1200x673.png 1200w, https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Quai-Malbert-Brest-800x448.png 800w, https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Quai-Malbert-Brest-768x431.png 768w, https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Quai-Malbert-Brest-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/www.marinasbrest.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Quai-Malbert-Brest.png 1386w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Reserved for larger vessels, the Quai Malbert pontoon is located within the commercial harbour. If you are allocated this berth by the harbour agents, you should call the Marina on channel 9 when you arrive, and then channel 12 to inform the commercial port of your arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to do in Brest during a stopover<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There's plenty to see and do in Brest, even if you're only staying a few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sports activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Would you like to do some sport during your holidays? Here are a few ideas for activities that will allow you to discover Brest at the same time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nautical activities: kayak, paddle, light sailing, sail in Brest harbour thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/brestbretagnenautisme.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brest Bretagne Nautisme<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cycling : hire a bike to discover Brest and the surrounding area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swimming pools: there are several swimming pools in Brest where you can go swimming.
